Forming NWTG – National Working Technical Group for GRASP Version 2

Last month, in December 2023, LSQA MidEast senior management formed a National Working Technical Group to open GRASP certification to Jordan according to Version 2.  The Group consists of seniors and experts from many sectors public and private. The NIG members are: 

1. Karam Malkawi, General Manager – LSQA MidEast 
2. ElSayed AlGuidhy, Approved GlobalG.A.P Assessor 
3. Emad Malkawi, Ministry of Labor
4. Hazem AL Smadi, Former General Secretary Assistant for Quality, Ministry of Agriculture
5. Firas Ali, Former Inspection Unit Head,  Social Security Corporation 
6. Zaid AL Bitar, a corporate Lawyer specialized in Labor Law 
7. Tamara Qatarneh, QA Manager – Private Sector Dates Producer 
8. Nidal Al Hiyari, Technical Manager – Private Sector F&V producer 

The NIG aims to interpret Jordanian Labor laws, agreements, acts, etc. inline with  GLOBALG.A.P. GRASP Version 2 to be submitted for approval by the GlobalG.A.P technical committee which upon approval; Jordanian Producers can apply for GRASP V2 certification.
